Evidentful

About Evidentful

Freeing police to
protect communities.

Evidentful was founded by a former police officer who saw first-hand how much police time is lost to manual evidence collection. Our mission is to free police time to protect communities by combining operational policing experience with secure, reliable AI built for the scrutiny of UK law enforcement.

The founding story

A problem I knew from day one on the job.

I joined Northamptonshire Police at 20. Policing gave me a sense of purpose that has never really left me. Even after leaving the service, policing - and the importance of strong, safe communities - has remained part of my DNA.

I also know first-hand how hard statement writing can be. I am dyslexic, and as a young officer that made taking and writing witness statements difficult, slow, and at times embarrassing. But I also understood how important those statements were. Witness evidence sits at the heart of criminal justice.

The problem was never that statements did not matter. They matter deeply. The problem was that officers were spending hours on manual repeatable processes when they were also needed for the parts of policing only they can do: preventing crime, responding to 999 calls, gathering community intelligence, understanding emerging local concerns, and being visible in the communities they serve.

Demand on policing continues to grow. Despite the best efforts of individual police officers, public confidence is under pressure. I believe that can be turned around — not by replacing officers, but by using AI responsibly to free them from the work that keeps them away from their core role.

After more than a decade in technology, I kept coming back to this problem. The tools transforming other industries still were not reaching the frontline of policing in a way that truly understood the job.

We founded Evidentful in 2024 to change that. With a co-founding team that combines deep technical capability, operational understanding, and a shared belief in the mission, Evidentful has the opportunity to do something genuinely meaningful: free police time to protect communities and help make those communities safer.

“A shift spent taking witness statements by hand felt like the right place to start. Not because it was the hardest problem in policing, but because it created a large, immediately measurable benefit to police and the public.”

Tested in structured police evaluation scenarios

Evidentful has been tested against officer-led witness statement collection in structured police evaluation scenarios. The evaluation compares completeness, evidential accuracy, PEACE structure, points-to-prove coverage, and statement quality.
